Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-08

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Rui Studio collects, uses, and deletes information when merchants install and use Invoice Sync.

2. Information we process

  • Shop information such as shop domain, app installation status, and authentication records.
  • Catalog and inventory data needed to match products, variants, SKUs, and stock changes.
  • Invoice files and extracted line-item data that merchants upload for parsing and review.
  • Operational data such as logs, error reports, and billing state used to secure and support the app.

3. How we use information

  • Authenticate merchants and maintain an active Shopify app installation.
  • Parse supplier invoices, suggest matches, and help merchants review updates before syncing inventory.
  • Send approved inventory changes back to Shopify and maintain pricing or usage records.
  • Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and respond to support requests.

4. Third-party services

We use Shopify platform services to authenticate the app and sync merchant data. We also use Google Gemini to process invoice content that merchants choose to upload. We may rely on cloud infrastructure and database providers to host the service securely.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain merchant data while the app is installed and as needed to operate the service. When the app is uninstalled or Shopify sends a required privacy webhook, we delete the associated shop data according to Shopify's App Store requirements and applicable law.

6. Shopify compliance webhooks

Invoice Sync supports Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks, including customers/data_request , customers/redact , and shop/redact .
